Masking for Smoke

Here’s a message about masking for smoke safety from VashonBePrepared:

Masks rated N95 or P100 are the best for filtering out dangerous smoke particles, but almost any mask is better than none, if you have to be outside in the smoke. Here’s where to get a free mask if you don’t have access to any.

VashonBePrepared’s sheltering team has distributed 3M N95 masks to the following locations, available for pickup during each location’s normal business hours:

• Vashon Center for the Arts (also open for smoke and heat relief from 12 noon to 5pm each day)
• Vashon Island Fire & Rescue
• Vashon Library
• Vashon Food Bank
• Vashon Senior Center
