Crew shortage: 2nd Day of Major Ferry Cuts

South End Ferry Not Operating
North End Ferry on Two Boat Schedule

Washington State Ferries has again taken the Tahlequah/Point Defiance route out of service all day today.

At the north end, the Vashon/Fauntleroy/Southworth route has been reduced to a two boat schedule for the second day.
The ferry system says it reduced service to both of the Vashon ferry terminals due to lack of Coast Guard documented crew.

WSF explains the difficult decision was made as a result of ongoing crew shortages and the need to reallocate limited resources throughout the ferry system.
