You should know that the County’s Department of Social and Health can most likely help out, or maybe you’ve already made that discovery and have an account there. In any case, you should know that the Health Department’s mobile office – the big, old van – will be here on the Island on Thursday, February 12^th from 10AM till 2PM, parked at the Presbyterian Church, 17708 Vashon Highway Souhwest. You can sign up for SNAP for food benefits, EBT cards, cash assistance and some medical programs, eligibility reviews and case information. All you need to do is show up, no appoinment needed. Here’s the announcement again: the Health Department van will be parked at the Presbyterian Church on Thursday, February 12^th from 10 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon, open and ready to do business.
