January 8th, 2022 by Steve Nourse and Lynda Price

Part of a 12-part series “Specific Learning Disabilities: The Invisible Disability”.

Hosts Steven W. Nourse and Lynda Price host the series, covering topics aimed at better understanding and empowering those with learning disabilities — a demographic that includes many millions of children and adults in the United States.

Lynda Price, Ph.D., is a retired associate professor of special education at Temple University. She has published more than 60 journal articles, book chapters, and position papers in the area of adolescents and adults with learning disabilities and dyslexia. Dr. Steven W. Nourse, a retired full professor at Central Washington University, has been an ADA/504/IDEA consultant since 1993, working with more than 50 school districts nationally.

According to Nourse, the new series on VoV will include interesting facts, stories, and tips about how people live with a non-apparent disability every day.

“Look around you to see how being invisible doesn’t just make you harder to see,” Nourse said. “It can make you stronger, more employable and resilient as well.”
