Peter Rinearson and Steve Scher engage in a wide-ranging discussion of the news media, and in particular its role in polarizing society—today and historically. Peter, a Vashon resident, is a Pulitzer Prize winner who wrote a book with Bill Gates, an entrepreneur who developed web-publishing systems for community content, and a former vice president of both Microsoft and a cable network. Steve was a popular host and interviewer at local radio’s KUOW for almost 30 years. He is a podcaster, interviewer, and instructor in the UW Communications Department.
