King County Councilmember Joe McDermott, representatives from the Executive and Sheriff’s offices hosted a Town Hall session at McMurray Middle School, 9329 SW Cemetery Road SW.

The meeting aimed to provide Vashon an opportunity to discuss issues of concern with key officials from King County Departments including King County’s Department of Transportation, and representatives from the Departments of Permitting and Environmental Review, the Assessor’s Office, Public Health, Community and Human Services and others. This was also an opportunity to learn the County’s proposed Department of Local Services intended to better support residents of unincorporated King County.
