His book “Sound Portraits of Bulgaria: A Journey to a Vanished World” contains pictures of a place that doesn’t exist anymore. The photos are amazing. And the music he recorded in Bulgaria nearly 50 years ago is included in two CDs at the back of the book. We did a deep dive during our conversation into several of the tracks.
