All the Vashon non-profits have fundraisers, of course, but the Senior Center has one without the “D”: it’s a FUN-raiser. It’s Rainbow Blingo, Bingo on steroids hosted by the incomparable Louvel, chanteuse extraordinaire. Everything about this event is big and hot. Wanna go big? Sponsor a table for $800; $350 right away goes off the top as a charitable contribution to the Senior Center. The rest of it pays for seven guests, two bottles of complimentary wine, two drink tickets per table attendee, a group photo, lots of attention and love from the Incomparable Louvel, and an opportunity to dress up as crazy as you want at your table. Of course if you just want to go to this thing as an individual, that’s fine too. We like individuals. A single ticket is $50. Both these transactions – the 800 one or the 50 one – can be accomplished by going to vashoncenter.org. The event itself will be on Saturday, May 27th at Camp Burton, 9326 SW Bayview Drive. Doors open at 6PM and the Bingo excitement starts at 7. This event is a fun-blast for adults: no one under 21 allowed in. You kids can find your own fun.
