As we listen to news about the killing of George Floyd at the hands of police, we hear echoes from the voices of too many other persons of color who came before him.  

Their voices will not be silenced. We must hear their voices, say their names, and raise each of our unique voices in unison to unite the country against hatred. We reject the voices of racism and hate.

Voice of Vashon stands in solidarity with the victims and families and generations of people who have suffered under systemic racism.
