Show Notes
Cathe Gill is an accomplished plein air (open air) painter who will be offering a free one-day event at Mukai Farm and Garden on Sunday, April 12. In this episode, we talk about her decades of experience as an artist and educator—and her conviction that art can be for everyone.

A recent transplant from Seattle to Vashon Island, Cathe has been painting and teaching on location throughout the Pacific Northwest for more than thirty years. She works in watercolor, oil, and pastel, and is also an accomplished printmaker.
Her classrooms are as expansive as her vision: from homeless shelters and museums to beaches, forests, boats, and even kayaks—along with more recent Zoom sessions from her Ballard studio. Cathe teaches locally, across the United States, and internationally, and her work has been exhibited nationally and worldwide.
She is co-founder of Art Partners International, an organization dedicated to connecting artists across cultures, and is an active member of several regional arts organizations. Her book, Powerful Watercolor Landscapes (with writer Beth Means), continues to inspire artists around the world.
