Voice of Vashon’s Alert Team

The heroic members of our Alert Team take weeklong shifts ‘on duty’ to track ferry cancellations, power outages, storms and lesser community ‘advisories’ that are important to life on our island community.

All it takes is a willingness to serve your neighbors, a smartphone, internet service and just 5 to 10 hours per month.  What you get back is tremendous satisfaction knowing you are helping in a big way.
