Voice of Vashon is Vashon Island’s community media hub — connecting, informing, and inspiring our island through radio, TV, digital content, emergency alerts, and community storytelling. About the Role
This is a part-time (10–15 hours/week), support-focused position that helps keep VoV’s programming running smoothly across radio, TV, podcasts, and digital platforms. The Program Manager works under the General Manager and collaborates with the Board, producers, volunteers, and community partners.

Primary Focus
• Support producers and help shows succeed creatively and operationally
• Coordinate programming across radio, TV, podcasts, and digital
• Maintain smooth studio operations and assist with basic troubleshooting
• Provide hands-on production support (radio, video, livestream, field)
• Support VoV’s emergency alert system

Qualifications
Required
• Experience in media production, broadcasting, digital content, or related fields
• Strong creative vision and storytelling instincts
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to support volunteers with empathy and clarity
• Comfort with basic equipment troubleshooting and studio support
• Familiarity with different types of shoots (radio, video, livestream, field)
• Commitment to community media and inclusive Vashon storytelling
Preferred
• Experience with youth or community media
• Familiarity with community radio or public access TV
• Skills in podcasting, social media, or digital strategy
• Understanding of Vashon’s culture and community dynamics
• Experience in radio or video production (college radio, community stations, professional work)
Compensation & Timeline
$15,000 annually • 10–15 hours/week • Flexible scheduling
