Grethe Cammermeyer is a retired military nurse and served in a hospital during the Vietnam War. Colonel Cammermeyer served as a Medical Nurse and also served in a Neurological unit where she worked with soldiers with traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and spinal cord injuries (SCI).She also successfully fought the “don’t ask, don’t tell” provision of military service.
