DJ Mary Marin

Hailing from Los Angeles, DJ Mary Marin grew up listening to iconic SoCal radio stations KLOS and KROQ and grooving to Soul Train with her best friend Myrtle. From Stevie Ray Vaughan to Rickie Lee Jones, from Tina Turner to David Bowie, Rick James and George Thorogood, the LA scene helped shape her diverse musical tastes.

Little did Mary know that someday she’d be living the dream on Vashon, shaking a tail feather as a Zumba instructor and cohosting Dance Time with Sammy V!

Sam Van Fleet, aka, Sammy V

Sam grew up on the East Coast listening to the New York City radio stations of the 50s, 60s and 70s, broadcasting the astonishing music of that era. His love of popular music is undiminished, marveling at the ever evolving nature of the genre and the great artists who define it.

Sam got his start in radio as a DJ at KAOS, Olympia, Washington and is host of VOV’s long running show “Rock of Ages”. He is a musician and cofounder of island group The Van Redeker Band.
