Mass Incarceration is a term that’s bandied about in the media to the point of numb insignificance, but it’s personal for millions of people in this country. Many of those people are young black men whose entire lives are marked by their biggest mistakes, horrible choices they made as adolescents when no one was there to direct them otherwise. And, absent good legal advice, they often end up serving inordinately long prison sentences. REALTalk host Susan McCabe will hear from three members of the Black Prisoners Caucus– Grady Mitchell, Willie Nobles and Cyril Walrond (pictured) — who have survived long prison sentences, managed to return to society and are now working to help others inside. Tune in to find out what it’s really like to live in prison, how to survive physically, mentally and emotionally… and what it takes to grow in those circumstances. It’s sure to be REAL.
