Email from Voice of Vashon Low or no water pressure in limited area Water District 19 Water Service Interruption 2025-01-14 COMMUNITY ADVISORY VOICE OF VASHON REPORTS THIS IMPORTANT MESSAGE An emergency interruption to complete the tie-in to a new water main on Vashon Highway is now affecting Water District 19 customers along Vashon Highway from 204th Street to Quartermaster. According to District 19 general manager John Martinak, customers can expect low pressure or completely dry taps until approximately 3 p.m. or earlier on Jan. 14. Martinak said the district alerted customers of the impending outage on Monday, Jan. 12, via robocalls and emails, but the district office was currently receiving calls from customers affected by the situation. Active Alert: North End Ferry Service Update

Washington State Ferries reports that after successful repairs and boat moves, three-boat service will be restored at the start of service on Wednesday, Jan. 14 on the Fauntleroy/Vashon/Southworth route.

Tuesday, Jan. 13: Two-boat service with the third, unscheduled vessel. Around mid-day, the Sealth will swap with the Salish and run as the third, unscheduled boat.

Wednesday, Jan. 14: Three-boat service resumes. The Sealth will run as the #3 vessel.

Friday, Jan. 16: The following #3 sailings will be cancelled to accommodate boat moves:

  • 8 p.m. Southworth to Vashon
  • 8:20 p.m. Vashon to Fauntleroy
  • 8:50 p.m. Fauntleroy to Vashon
  • 9:15 p.m. Vashon to Southworth
  • 9:30 p.m. Southworth to Vashon

Saturday – Sunday, Jan. 17: Regular weekend, two-boat service.

Monday, Jan. 19: Due to the timing of boat moves, the route will be on two-boat service.

Tuesday, Jan. 20: The route will return to three-boat service.
