PSE Planned Power Outages – Improvements

Portions of Vashon and all of Maury Island are scheduled to experience power outages for up to 24 hours, from 8am to 8am, between Friday, Oct 9th and Saturday, Oct 10th.

PSE has indicated ways you can prepare for this outage:

• If you rely on medical equipment that needs electricity, have a plan to maintain use of it during the outage
• Charge cell phones
• Unplug computers, televisions, and sensitive electronics
• Notify your home security company
• Know how to manually operate garage doors and electric gates
• Minimize opening refrigerator and freezer doors during the outage
• If you have a generator, make sure you are familiar with operating it and know how to connect and disconnect it safely

The outage was originally scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 6th but was rescheduled to be Friday, confirmed by project manager Kenneth Bartenhagen.
