Some shows to check out this week on VoV

Tune in for raucous comedy, sharp wit, great music from classic rock to opera,  as The Rev himself takes a critically hilarious look at life on this little island we all love so much.

Voltaire’s Vault: Garage Rock.  This week’s show will be going back to the years 1965 – 1968, the heyday of garage rock. Be sure to catch it LIVE!!

Alternative Vashon: Counting Crows play live at the Alt Vashon Garage, and Morrissey hangs out. The Long Last Song is from 1991, and you will hear killer tracks by Billy Idol, Bjork, Velvet Underground and Breeders.

Stirring The Pot: Triple Treat as all three hosts, Linda Nygaard, Tom Conway and Selin Demir get together in the studio to share their ideas about how you might lessen your stress in the kitchen by making some “no fuss” meals in one pot, tricks for easy pie crust, and some favorite cookie recipes.

Embracing the Muse: Author, filmmaker, speaker, and activist John de Graaf will be the guest to discuss his mission to help cultivate a happier, healthier and more sustainable quality of life in America.

The Rolling Wave Show: Winter Solstice and more

Boogie Back to Texas: Haven’t Heard You In A While — Boogie Back host Geoff Fletcher reprises a show of songs from artists not heard in a while — or ever in a few cases — on Boogie Back.

Whiskey Hour Radio Program: Whiskey Hour Holiday Special — This holiday, DJ Moo and Whiskey Jim are mixing a seasonal cocktail of cheer and confrontation. Tune in for our special where they spike your eggnog with a necessary reminder: the fight against fascism doesn’t take a snow day.

Sunday Silence: Eyes in Place of an Eye — This episode attempts to follow the apocryphal Gospel of Thomas to the word: making the two into one, folding the outside into the inside, forging two eyes in place of one.

Remember, you can always hear some of these shows any time just by going to their Show pages. Check them out!
