Blood Drive is Back Coming Back to the Island

September 14th, 2024 by Jeffrey Hoyt

We are all of us members of the human race. Just turned out that way, no big thing, really, but, when you think about it, how often do we get a chance to celebrate that fact, an opportunity to earn our spot on the planet, to show that we can claim a space beside our fellow humans and maybe save a life in the bargain? One way to do that, for sure, is to sign up to give blood when Bloodworks Northwest comes to the Island for the Vashon Island Community Blood Drive on Wednesday, October 23rd, from 10:15AM till 4:15PM at the Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall at 18623 Vashon HighwaySW. There is a poster being circulated with a QR code you can scan to book your one-hour appointment or you can go to the Bloodworks link, bloodworksnw.org/giveblood, and sign up there to do your civic duty. You must be sixteen or older and photo ID is required. Celebrate your personhood and make your donation to the community blood bank. From 10:15AM to 4:15PM at the Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall on Wednesday, October 23rd.You never know when you might have to make a withdrawal. This has been a Voice of Vashon Public Service Announcement, Precious Bodily Fluids Department.
