Two things you need to stay alive: air and water. Air is free, but, if you get your Island water from Water District 19, then you need to know they want to make some policy changes over there that will affect your account. The Commissioners are holding a Special Meeting on Thursday, November 21st at 7PM at the Land Trust Building when they will introduced for public comment. Changes the Board is considering include revisions to the water sale process with expanding the types of applications that qualify for priority to water, including affordable housing. And changing how shares can be sold back to the district. All current Water District 19 customers as well as district residents who are not yet customers are encouraged to attend to learn more about the possible changes and to provide feedback.
