Phil Mahurin was in a group that did pacification in local Vietnamese villages. He played a clarinet in a fairly large band in the villages and worked with doctors and dentists to provide services to the villagers.

Jim McFarland graduated from Ellensburg High School in 1965. He supervised a squad of soldiers who repaired Chinook helicopters in Vietnam.
