COVID Vaccination Update & Tips ~ Actualización y Consejos para Vacunarse

Here’s an update on COVID vaccination from the
Vashon Emergency Operations Center.


It is looking good for resumption of vaccinations this coming week. Vashon Pharmacy is still waiting for final confirmation but it appears that enough vaccine will arrive on Monday to allow reopening the drive-through vaccination site all week. If all goes well, there will be a confirmation announcement to the community on Monday that vaccination reservations will be open Monday evening.


While we are waiting for confirmation on arrival of the vaccine on Monday, here are some tips to help you be efficient when you go online.


 The vaccination appointment portal is at: VashonPharmacy.com/COVID


If the vaccination shipment arrives, the appointment portal will open at the same time as it did in previous weeks: 7:00pm, Monday, February 8th.


You can rehearse in advance by opening up the Vashon Pharmacy help guide, which will show you the form you’ll be filling out and give you an idea of info you need to gather before Monday evening: https://vashonpharmacy.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Vaccine-Registration-Help.pdf


The appointments go fast. Hundreds of Vashon folks are going to be simultaneously trying to get an appointment just like you. The website can make many appointments very quickly but once they are gone, the portal will be closed. So, be ready with all your information before you sit down at the computer!


You MUST fill out every item on the forms that has a red asterisk (*). If you don’t fill out those essential red asterisk items you will not get an appointment.


You must take a second appointment. If you fail to schedule a second appointment you first appointment will not be saved and you will lose your place.


Be sure to go all the way to the end of the form process and click on the blue Complete Form button.


If you don’t see the blue Complete Form button, something is incomplete and you must click on the Back button provided in the form (not your browser back arrow) to find it and fix it.




Aquí va una puesta al día sobre la campaña de vacunación para
COVID-19 del EOC o Centro de Operaciones de Emergencia de Vashon. 
 
Parece ser que recibiremos vacunas para la semana que entra. La Farmacia de Vashon sigue esperando para que le den la confirmación final, pero parece ser que recibirán una buena cantidad de vacunas para el lunes 8 de febrero. Si todo sale bien, esto permitirá abrir el portal para hacer citas para vacunar gente toda la semana. Como siempre, esto será el lunes por la noche. 
 
Mientras esperamos a que nos confirmen la llegada de la vacuna el lunes, aquí hay algunos consejos para que pueda usted obtener su cita de la manera más eficiente cuando busque en línea.

Si el lote de vacunas llega, el portal se abrirá cómo en las semanas anteriores, a las 7:00 pm del lunes, 8 de febrero.

Como usted ha observado, las citas se llenan muy rápido. Al igual que usted, cientos de personas en Vashon intentarán sacar una cita. El sitio en la red puede hacer citas con mucha rapidez, pero una vez que se llenan, se cierra el portal. Así que por favor tenga toda la información necesaria a la mano, cuando se siente a la computadora.


Tiene usted que CONTESTAR cada pregunta que tenga un asterisco rojo (*). Si no lo hace así, no se le dará una cita. 
 
También tiene que sacar su segunda cita. Si usted no lo hace, y no saca la cita para la segunda dosis, no se le dará cita para la primera dosis y perderá su sitio. 
 
Asegúrese de ir hasta el final de la forma y presione el botón azul que indica que la forma está completa.
 
Si usted no ve el botón azul que indica que la forma está completa, algo está incompleto y tiene usted que presionar el botón para regresar (Back) en la forma, no en el browser, para ver cuál es el error y corregirlo.
