Alternative soul rocker Cami Maree is coming back to Vashon for a “Debra Heesch Presents” show at Dig Deep Gardens on Sunday, July 28th at 4pm(free admission but give generously to the tip jar!). 

Cami got her start in music here on Vashon a dozen years ago (you might remember her as Cami Lundeen). After an intense battle with cancer last year, Cami is back to performing and her music is more powerful than ever.

Cami calls Colorado home these days after spending her first several post-Vashon years in Florida. Before she left, Cami amassed a large local following back here in the Northwest, playing shows and festivals all around Seattle, plus famed venues The Crocodile Cafe and The Triple Door. 

In this conversation, Jeff Hoyt asks Cami about her recovery and what it’s like to come back to where everything first started happening for her musically. The interview also includes three songs from Cami’s recent EP “Scars.”
