Care Closet Open House

Sudden Responsibility. The Ominous Promise. Listen, it could happen any time, anywhere. Suddenly you’re stuck. Maybe you were expecting it, maybe you weren’t, but one thing is for sure: it’s here now. You’re a caregiver now. Or maybe you’re a caretaker. Not much difference, give or take. But one thing is for sure. You need equipment for this gig. Normally, you would follow the advice of friends and borrow wheelchairs and the like from the Vashon Care Network’s Care Closet which operates from the grounds of the Vashon Lutheran Church. Well, turns out that the Care Closet folks are going to be giving away a bunch of this stuff at an Open House from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday, November 17 at their location behind the Church. There will be four-wheel and two-wheel wheel chairs and up-walkers as well as canes and crutches, incontinence supplies and specialty items for you to take home while they last. Drop by for a hot cup of cider while you look for something you need. Learn how the Care Closet works, should you need to borrow medical equipment in the future. Free Medical Equipment Giveaway at the Vashon Care Closet Open House from 2 to 4PM on the grounds of the Vashon Lutheran Church, 18623 Vashon Highway. This has been a Voice of Vashon Public Service Announcement, Medical Hardware Department.
