My guess is that when the Count y Health Department – the DSHS – wants to communicate with its thousands of clients out here on Vashon it does it by sending its mobile office over to the Island for a monthly visit. That’s a great idea because, in the first place, you can’t miss it because it’s a big and brightly decorated van and parks itself right outside the Methodist Church at 17928 Vashon Highway, and, if you have an account with them they can always assist you with ongoing business. Or you can apply for food or cash assistance¸ sign up for health insurance, or request an EBT card. This month the van will be here, Thursday, January 16 from 10 AM till 2PM, parked right in front of the Methodist Church. Se habla Espanol.
