Go To Tales ~ Rob Hotchkiss

August 12th, 2024 by Jeff Hoyt

In what used to be (but is no longer) a rather well-kept island secret, one of the founding members of the Bay Area pop rock band Train has lived on Vashon off and on for the past 15 years. Rob Hotchkiss moved to the island in 2009. He left Train after their third album and has enjoyed the quiet and solitude that comes from getting off the Rock Star…..well, Train.

Jeff Hoyt sat down with Rob for the latest edition of his Go-To Tales series for Hoytus Interruptus. Hotchkiss comes through with stories of the band’s early recording and touring days. Then he describes Train’s pinch-me moments of getting to play their Grammy-winning anthem “Drops of Jupiter” at both the Olympics and the Grammys. This show is offered as streaming only-content due to a brief bit of language.
