This week host Susan McCabe welcomes award-winning author, filmmaker, physician, sculptor, and islander Gar LaSalle. Gar’s trilogy of historical fiction novels starts with Widow Walk, set in the 19th Century Pacific Northwest and moves through the American Civil War era with Isthmus and The Fairness of Beasts. Gar is currently working on book #4 and pitching his saga in Hollywood for conversion into a TV series. He’ll share the high drama of that process along with tales he’s gathered of America’s history and a bit about how he’s achieved acclaim in all these creative endeavors.
