Sunday Silence ~ Persistence of Memory

November 27th, 2024 by CLOACA

If, as Freud claimed, every finding of an object is in fact a refinding of it, there is something essential, perhaps even a prophetic kernel, inside of a memory. On this week’s episode, we are drawing out these lines of sight, listening for the fissures unsealed by the act of looking back. From the gently angular techno of Ken Ishii through to the textural electro-dub of Lina Filipovich’s Music for an Imaginary Dancefloor, we discover memory as the shared sensorium of the past as it slides into the present.
