In eager anticipation of his first live island show in over 7 years (a VCA and Debra Heesch Presents show @ VCA on 3/30/2024), Maury Island musical artist Pete Droge sits down with Jeff Hoyt to talk about Pete’s long journey back to the stage.

After having been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Pete wondered for a time if his career was over, but steady improvement and Pete’s easygoing home studio lifestyle gradually changed the calculus. This past November, Pete & his wife, the singer-songwriter-turned-mosaic-artist Elaine Summers, released Volume 3 of their “Droge & Summers Blend” collaboration. Last year also saw Pete turn to Substack, where he shared fascinating glimpses into their creative process on songs both new and old.

In this KVSH Special, Jeff Hoyt spends the better part of an hour with Pete.
